The holidays are upon us, which begs the question of what to wear! Getting dressed up for the holidays is basically half the fun, so take this opportunity to get creative and express yourself. If you need a little bit of inspiration to help get you going, take a look at some of the drawings our very own creative director Georgie Ichikawa put together below. Happy closet hunting!
1. Pretty in Paris
A classic striped tee or long sleeve can go a long way, especially when paired with a bright colored skirt and some shiny jewelry. Try a fluffy black and white knit jumper with a red satin textured high-waisted flared skirt, and red velvet ballerina flats. For jewels, a silver necklace of some sort, like diamonds or gems, will give you a classic look that pops.
2. Playful Plaid
A green and red plaid shirt plays off the noted holiday colors, in a cute and subtle way. Flannels are typically a more masculine look, which can be nicely offset by a polar opposite champagne colored double layer mesh skirt with a bit of a flare. The one drawn here has an extra layer of textured dimension with puffy white pom poms, but you can get creative with any kind of textured pattern. A nice mustard accent shoe and necklace to bridge between the two pieces of clothing.
3. Hug Your Curves
A red two tone bodycon dress is a bold and sensual statement to make, and one that you’ll have fun pulling off. Pick a dress that has a nice contour to show off your curves. Complete this look with a white or red pearl necklace to highlight a bare neckline, and red heeled shoes that show off your ankles.
4. A Vintage Vibe
You could try an outfit from a completely different era. We love the 1950s American housewife look, which bodes well for the holidays. Try wearing a collared little green dress with a white sash around the waist, topped off with a pop of color on your head and a subtly edgy green boot.
5. Denim Diva
For a more casual every day look, grab your favorite pair of skinny jeans and wear them with a gold sequin top and a tailored green jacket. Some gold bangles and a burgundy leather wristwatch will add another dimension of color and texture to this comfortably chic holiday outfit.
